Dear all.

I've got a RAV4 1.8 '05 model, only front wheels drive (4x2) currently with 7000 km.

From the very first day, I notice a loss of grip from front wheels everytime I take a simple pothole even at low speed.

This "shimmi" becames stronger when taking any bend, it does not matter the speed you are driving.

It is easy to feel it since car goes straight when wheels are heading
next bend.

I thougth wheels were blown up to high, but unfortunately they were running with right pressure so,... I'm absolutely confused.

Car is new, tyres, shock absorbers...new too.

Friends, have you notice this strange behaviour in your RAV before?
Is it a common issue in this model?

Thanks a lot for your help.

1.8??? isn't it a 2.4 on the 05's ???

So you are saying that after you hit a pot hole, your Rav4
starts to drive funny???

Yes friends, here in Europe, engines use to be not as big as yours.
It is very common engines about 1.8 / 2.0 gasoline or 2.0 / 2.5 Diesel.

About my issue, yes, you are right too, just after hit any pothole (whatever deep it is) my front wheels loss road contact.

Try to imagine this behaviour when taking any bend. I've been driving a lot of cars before this one (in fact, this car it's been bougth for my wife) and never felt this annoying feeling before.
