On a new 2018 Rav4 LE, I noticed that there isn't any song info being displayed on the Bluetooth audio screen. Instead, it just has a picture of an audio device being connected and saying it is connected. The source and sound buttons work fine. The music plays fine and the tracking controls work fine as well. However, there is no metadata being displayed at all. The bluetooth audio device (a Fiio X1 2nd gen) is not a phone. The metadata shows when I'm using my phone and playing a song from youtube.

Am I missing something here?

I think it works in my 2016. You have to make sure the music files on your phone have the Meta detail information (name, artist, year, album...) plug the phone into your computer and right click on the song file and click Properties to see if it has the details filled out.

Thanks for the response. My issue is not with the phone though. I am trying to view the metadata when I use an audio device via bluetooth other than the phone.
Metadata on the phone works fine.

Did you ever figure out how to fix this? My 2018 just started doing the same thing.
