I was installing dynamat over the weekend hoping to get my interior become less noisy when I discovered that the RAV4's seatbelt mechanisms were among the noisiest parts of the car.

Are Toyota's seatbelt mechanisms always this noisy? I notice there's something rattling inside the mechanism that causes all the noise when I road-tested my RAV4 with the interior practically bare, so it was easy to pinpoint problems.

Anyone else has this problem?

I have not noticed any noise coming from my seatbelts. But sometimes my seatbelt on the drivers side gets stuck when I unbuckle it.

Same in my '04 Rav4 S version :D I can't hear any noise coming from the seatbelts. I have two sugestions:
- there might be something loose or stuck in the mechanism (like a coin or something like that).
- or maybe my seatbelts mechanizm is the same its just that I don't have dynant like you :( so I don't hear it.
If it makes you mad then you can just take out the dynant and return to stock :D:D:D:D:D
