Hi all, new here, hope you're well.

I have just bought an old 2004 XT4 2.0L petrol (manual), which is great so far. It's got 82000 miles on it but has been very well cared for.

The one thing I have noticed is that there's fresh oil around the very front of the prop shaft. It's not dripping, but there's obviously a seal gone. There's a square rubber block under the section I'm talking about, which I assume is some sort of of bushing. This also has signs of oil on it.

I'm assuming that it should just be an outer seal, so just a case of disconnecting the prop shaft, pulling the oil seal, and then knocking the new one in?

Does anybody know the part number for this seal? I'm in the UK.

Also, I assume I will have to fill the transfer case will new oil?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Since your vehicle is made for the UK market most users here have cars made for the USA or Canada, you have a better chance getting that information from a local dealer.
