I have a 2016 LE and I am trying to determine the two wires to splice into in the overhead light console for my radar detector. Here is a picture of the connector and then a diagram of the voltages when the engine is running.

I would really like to have the radar detector turn on/off with the ignition, but not sure if that is possible from the over head lights.

It appears the white with the red/silver or white with white is my only two options. Anyone have an idea why when I used the two white wires it is 13.4 volts? I would have thought the black/silver would be the ground?

Just want to double check here on the forum before starting to splice wires?

Thanks

The overhead lights are not controlled the way they used to be.
Your ECU directly controls the ground going to the lights to turn them on and off.
Even the "on" position on the rocker switch has a programmed timeout.

Best bet is to pull power from the fuse block.
