Hello to all. So I have a little problem. I started my 2010 rav4 v6 limited today and 3 lights came on the dashboard. The check engine light, the 4 wheel drive light and the vsc light. Earlier in the day I noticed the when shifting from park to drive the shift wasn't smooth, it was a harsh. Once in gear it seems to shift normaly. Went to auto parts store and had them read the codes and it was P0705 transmission sensor A-circuit. Car has 64000 miles on it. Any help with this would be appreciated.

You very likely need that sensor replaced. I don't know if it's a DIY job but if not I check around for estimates.

One of the problems is I'm not sure what sensor it is. Is it the park/neutral position switch? From what I understand the(PNP) switch also has the Transmission Range Switch in it. And where might this switch be?

The sensor is probably inside the transmission.
