Hi
Every time j remove the petrol filler cap on the Rav it's apparent that the tank in under vacuum as you can hear the hiss as you release the cap.
Is this normal or do I have a problem?
I believe the car is fitted with system to prevent petrol vapour being released into the atmosphere.
Thanks

It's probably pressure not vacuum.
I've taken gas caps apart and examined the two valves inside. They hold a set pressure but very little vacuum. They have to allow air in to replace the gasoline used but don't let vapors escape unless the pressure gets too high during hot weather.
