I thought I would give a review on the Avic - X930BT that I just had installed.
I shop for awhile for a great Nav unit and did the pro and con on them and came to this unit as the best fit for my needs. Things that I like.
1) Looks great in the dash.
2) All the graphics display very clean, maps in 2D or 3D.
3) Able to custom display my screen with the Avic feed software, that is a free download on your PC. Create your own icons.
4)The load times are fast, not the boot up screen.
5) The sound from it is better then the stock radio. I had the non JBL unit.
6) OMG the Bluetooth features are way cool, and the calls are as good as if the person you are talking to is right there with you. Callers on the other end say it is clear as a bell.
7) The night feature is a nice touch when driving at night.
8) DVDs play great on it.
9) Pioneer keeps you updated with maps and any thing else. I contact them two times and they reply right away.
10) Voice GPS and voice command for phone.
The things I don't like.
1) Volume control knob
2) The boot up, takes about a minute.
3) Wish for more presets on the AM band.
So, for those of you who might install yourself, I did not because Car Toys did it free and I am sure glad they did it, I only would have saved $100 doing it myself. But , if you do the installer inform me that the backup Camera has to be hard wired into the unit (pink wire). I installed the backup camera and wired it to the reverse light and ran all the cables. Thought all that Car Toys had to do was plug the RCA into the unit for the camera, nope. So for a few extra $ they made it work. Here is the Pics of the unit installed with a Metra dash kit. Match is perfect. I did not do the Ipod cable, don't own one.
