I know others have had this problem, power liftgate opens ok but Double beeps and won't close.

I have Scoured the Web, found no working solution.
I tried doing a factory recalibration and disconnecting the battery and a number of other things, but no joy.
This just happened yesterday, but this morning It worked 2 or 3 times but now it's doing the same thing.
I use the car primarily for Uber and lyft, so it gets used quite often during the day.
I have an appointment with the dealer for a $240 diagnostic, but would like to find a solution.
The hinges look Perfect. No cracks, loose nuts, or anything. I don't see any issues there.
The odd thing is, It went through a car wash last night and started working today just like Another member had mentioned, but the fix was only temporary as I mentioned.
With as many customers exhibiting similar problems, I would think Toyota would Issue a service bulletin.
If anyone can shed some new light on this issue I'd much appreciate it.
