My drivers window will go up or down but then start to run out of steam as if it had it's own battery that was weak. If I wait a minute it will work again and then die again. As long as I use it sparingly I'll be OK, but I have a feeling it's only going to get worse. Could it be the switch, regulator, or motor? Help is appreciated. Thanks.

First thing I would do is lubricate the window tracks with silicone spray and then work the glass up and down to distribute it.

I did lube it with the same results, it seems to run out of steam.
Then you have a weak motor, bad regulator, or both. I would put fixing it at the top of my to-do list before it goes down and gets stuck there.

I have the door panel off, how hard is it to replace the motor?
I don't know, I've never actually done it. On my other car I have unbolted the glass from the regulator and shifted it out of the way to repair the rubber channel the glass slides in.
