hey team,

I am sure there is prob a thread for these existing but the search feature of this site isn't very helpful for me..... :(

I am looking at adding a set of halos to my 07 limited and looking for those who have done the same and what product they have used.

I am currently looking at these:

2006 2008 Toyota RAV4 LED Halo Projector Headlights Black | eBay

Dual CCFL Halo Projector Black Headlights Assembly 06 08 Toyota RAV4 | eBay

FOR 06 2008 RAV4 Dual CCFL Halo Projector Headlights Head Lamps LH RH Black | eBay

2006 08 RAV4 Black CCFL Angel EYE Halo Projector Headlights Pair LED Daytime FOG | eBay

From what I've heard elsewhere, a lot of the aftermarket projector headlights don't have the greatest of output or quality. If your budget permits, you may want to consider looking into a the OEM fixtures from the Euro or Asian markets. OEM will cost more, but you'll be much happier with the results. The only other downside apart from the cost is that you'll have to bake them open to add halos manually. Personally though, I find them too perfect to crack open for just a cosmetic change.

I have had those for a grand Cherokee before and I was never totally happy with them...the last 2 vehicles I did headlights on I did a projector retrofit...more work for sure, but using quality projectors makes a huge difference...I also had issues with halos going out...I would never buy that stuff again..

Hmmmmm this is good insight for sure.... I just like the look of these, but at same time I really want and need a quality product for night driving as i do quite a bit of that.

Budget is a bit of concern, but at the same time I don't want garbage when I rely on headlights for vision. Our roads are pitch black at nights, so I really need a product that will work. I do like the cosmetic look of these lights and the housing etc...

More food for thought I guess

This recent discussion might also give you some ideas.

Your cheapest option would be to replace your 9006 in the lowbeams with 9012 halogens, and the 9005 bulbs in your highbeams with 9011 halogens.
In one hand yes this would be cheapest how ever I am 'one of those' people that prefer the look of these after market lights, although I do want reliability as well, so that means I need to keep searching for something like this but better... lol
