I recently purchased three new bottles of Toyota Brake Fluid from Amazon but the side of the bottle shows "2018 Toyota Motor Sales". I don't want to jump to any conclusions, can anyone determine if it's still ok to use? I've read that brake fluid only lasts 1-2 years, unopened.

I'm attempting to flush my brakes after changing my rotors and brake pads.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

AFAIK brake fluid only deteriorates when exposed to air as in an open container that can absorb moisture.
Just don't make the mistake another member did recently that being letting the master cylinder run empty when bleeding the brakes.

Yea, I've read that too. Some say the plastic containers aren't porous, some say it brake fluid can absorb moisture through plastic...am I just being too cautious?

Also, great reminder, and thanks for replying to my first post!!

That's simply a copyright date--it has nothing to do with date of manufacture. If the containers are sealed, they last a long time.
