I'm going to be replacing my stock tires for the first time at the end of the summer. I would like some tires that will do reasonably well in the snow, but will also give a quiet and comfortable ride during the other seasons.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Please include how many miles you've driven on your tires.

You’ll be hard pressed on the road noise front, lots of different opinions. But if it helps I’ve narrowed it down to these tires after my OEM Firestone’s give up for myself. The defender seem to be the favourite for decent enough winter performance, personally I have dedicated winter tires (Michelin X-ICE 3’s).

POSSIBLE A/S TIRES REPLACEMENT FOR CURRENT FIRESTONE’s (COSTCO):

-MICHELLIN DEFENDER LTX M/S (ITEM# 2000639) pick (@Quickdtoo recommended)

-MICHELLIN PRIMACY A/S (ITEM# 1372741)

-MICHELLIN PREMIER LTX (ITEM# 1133095) pick

It wouldn't hurt to have a look at Nokian. Wrg4 is an all weather tire with good mileage rating and will be much better in the snow and ice than an all season tire. I'm really liking them so far and the road noise actually seems better than the stock Primacy. They are quiet.

6000K on these so far. Other nokians I've driven on for years.
