The Driveshaft of my RAV4 broke when I was visiting a remote city, fortunately found a mechanic nearby who removed the parts and asked to run without 4 Wheel drive, now it has been already a month I could not get a replacement as it costs a lot (More than 1000$) to get the replacement parts from Toyotal dealer.
I found in the eBay aftermarket for 200-300$, which I can see in the forum some other owners has fixed for thier RAV4s.

My questions are:
1) Is it recommended to use the vehicle without the rare Driveshaft for a longer time?
2) Any suggestions to get the right spare from eBay?
