My question is can the traction control be turned off on 2016 RAV4 that doesn't have a traction control button to do so with?

I believe that the procedure is:
Disengage VSC and TRAC.
Engage AWD LOCK.

Hopefully others will post as to whether this is the correct method.

Push and hold the VSC button for a bit and the VSC and TRAC will be disengaged. AWD LOCK doesn't effect VSC/TRAC to my knowledge.

That's interesting! I just looked at a '16 LE, SE, LTD and XLE (courtesy of Carmax interior photos) and I couldn't find the VSC BUTTON in ANY of them!

I apologize Don!

After doing some reading the control for VSC is located via the radio. Read the owners manual for better info on this.

Guess Toyota wants to cover their butts even better now a days by making it harder to disengage safety features!?
