Rav4 Prime molding trim melting

Difficult issue to comprehend since Toyota sells RAV4s pretty much world wide, including countries with hot climates such as Saudi Arabia. Recall that another member with a similar issue posted and speculated whether plastic trim formulations differ between vehicles sold in North America and hot climate countries.

Has Toyota outsourced production of some plastic parts to different suppliers, and whether one is producing plastic which has the melting problem? Also if Toyota has had some batches of plastic parts produced in China, from experience unless Toyota closely quality control checks on their own and does not rely upon the originators' QA checking the manufacturer may be producing substandard products. Working for a company which imports a different commodity from China occasionally when doing our own QA checks an entire pallet would be rejected and returned to the the originator.
