Hi everyone I'm new in the RAV4 world, I bought a 1995 RAV4 3 doors, 5 speed manual with 170.000km, I like Toyota so I find a cheap one, with a 5th gear problem and a sound (clunk-clunk) in the rear diff (my Mechanic told me that the noise came from the bushings of) so I changed the bushing but the noise kept, we opened the diff and surprised, I have a rear torsen diff but it have wear, I can’t find here (in Portugal) a replacement, any recommendation?

You can use the rear differential from any RAV4 up to 2005... they are all the same except the fact that a few ones are torsen. An open diff will be a straight fit to your RAV4.

Can you post a picture of your differential without the cover?

Do all 1995-2005 rear differentials have the same gear ratios?

Yes, all the same ratio.

You have a type 1 Torsen diff, they are weaker than the type 2. If I remember; Toyota used the type 1 (part number #41301-20140) only for 1994-1997 years on the first gen RAV4... all other years up to 2005 have a type 2 (part number #41301-48020). If you get rid of this diff, KEEP the stub shafts!!! They are not the same on an open diff. You can also try to find a Torsen type 2 out of a 99-2001 Lexus RX300, or 2001-2004 Highlander/Kruger... the Torsen unit itself will bolt into your actual diff housing, using your actual stub shafts. You can also source the Torsen unit out of a Alltrac/GT4 Celica (mostly ST205).... but it will still be a type 1 like yours. In fact the LSD unit itself has the same part number for Celica Alltrac/GT4, Caldina and RAV4 94-97).So the torsen type 1 unit is the same, BUT the differential housings are different.

Here is a photo I took to show the difference between a RAV4 type 1 vs type 2 Torsen (the type 1 is exploded on the photo):
