Say I were to add some forced induction, either from a blower or a turbo. How much power, in HP, can the stock tranny hold?

Auto or Manual?

My guess would be <200 for Auto - around 200 for manual

Getting more power is something I've considered - I just find the RAV to slow in the 80-100 mph range

Turbo is too complex - but I think blower has it's merits - I mean often it's nothing more than adding a braket - piping and a bigger drive belt - and there lots off space on top of the engine

Its a manual. So if I were to do it would you recommend a change in tranny?

I wouldn't - just see how it goes.

It's cheaper to change it IF it blows rather than doing it any-way .... If you follow my logic.

I'd just consider at a clutch upgrade to handle the power
