RAV4 window switches wiring ( backlight)

As we all know , the RAV is lacking backlighting on the window switches.

Is anyone familiar with the wiring on the driver side switch? Does each window have its own wire? Or does the car use data to communicate the window operations?

I used my multimeter, but cant find a wire that goes 12V then opening or closing a window.

Basically what I want to do is swap around wring so I can swap my left and right front windows.
I have a 2021 RHD Hybrid RAV , but I cant find backlight switches for RHD, only for LHD.
When operating the new LHD switches , the front windows are swaped around. ( back doors works fine)
On the other 3x doors, I have also changed the switches to ones with lights( got them all off Aliexpress)

Any help in the wiring to convert LHD to RHD would be appreciated.

The 2020+ RAV had 1x light at the drivers side on the drivers window switch. So there is power for lights. All 4x window switches , window lock and lock/unlock buttons runs from the same light. So when you plug is the new switch panel, all the backlights should work without any cable modification.
If not , something is wrong.

I ordered an LE AWD Rav4 recently. Then I found out that, in Canada, the model does not have switches for all the windows on the driver's side unless you get the next (XLE) model. There were no LE models to look at and the salespeople never mentioned that. I wonder if the wiring harness to the switches is the same for all models in which case I could buy a 4 switch replacement. Maybe nobody has tried this yet. Removing the 4 switch module, roof rails and who knows what else is obviously an attempt to make a buyer pay a few $K for what has been standard in the past.
Obviously Toyota wants to shaft buyers into paying a large amount of money for a few features to boost profits. Shame!

If the 2022s have the lighted driverside mirror switch without the folding mirror option, shouldn't we be able to order that part?

Has anyone tried?

I have the replacement switch in the UK (RHD) and like the OP the driver and passenger buttons are wrong. The right button does the left window and the left button does the right window. Back ones, as you described are fine

I find this weird!

Anyway, did you resolve the issue perhaps by changing the wiring?
