Dude. SOunds like you wanna kill your engine. One more thing. Don't free rev your engine too much. You will kill it a lot quicker than normal drive redlining.

Looks like you are looking at an overhaul. Don't just freshen up the engine. While you are at it. Do inner mods. Like Rods, Pistons, and performance oil rings.

HI mensajero
can you tell me a site that sell forged pistons(por si viene el turbo), rods and performance oil rings?
wich is better?: high compression forged pistons, flat forged pistons or low compresion forged pistons. I don't like the change of high to low because one feel the diference of torque.

It depends on where you are going to use your RAV4. I guess if you are going to use it on the street, go with low compression. In the heat of PR, a tempermental engine won't last very long. It looks like you have a heavy right foot [don't we all  ]. Regarding where you are going to buy these parts. The pictures you see here are from TRD. I think that are a little bit out of out budget. Regarding where to get these parts. Import Performance Parts.net. They sell engine performance kits for almost every application. I'm already looking at this web site as I do my research. Scroll down to Toyota. I already got the TOGA Performance oil pump for my 3SFE engine

Unless your regularly goign to race the thing, things like forged pistons and expesnive aftermarket condrods are a waste of money

In my opinion, if your engine has quality performance parts, your engine will double its life on the street. Of course, proper maintenance is always the bottom line like every 3,000 miles fresh oil is a must. A good engine oil cooler always helps. Every time I've open these engines, may it be a piston or rotary engine. I could see the engine were in excellent shape regardless of how hard I've punished it, believe me man. And I have a very heavy right foot. Every car that I've had in my life, have had a lot of performance parts installed. Some people say they are unnecessary. I always end up selling them because of a long trip, or I get tired of them.
