Hi!

As you can see in the attached picture the rear door latch is looking pretty nasty! It's also really hard to get the door close during the coldest days of our Canadian winter. Is there any way to clean that up and what should I use to lubricate it afterward ? Would you suggest replacing it ?

Thank you very much!

Soon as I saw that I thought.....WD40!
Maybe a couple of "washdowns" with it would help loosen things up.

I would get some silicone spray to loosen the latch and then apply general purpose grease on top. The silicone spray does not drip after it dries and also help to prevent further rusting. The grease helps the door from sticking.
