Hello all,
Just had my recent purchase 2000 5 spd w/ 39k miles looked at by Toyota service center.
They pointed out both rear lower control rods bent. Looks like someone may have tried to jack it up, or tow hooks? Anyway, toyota quoted $700 for parts alone. I have seen actual Toyota parts online for 125 each.
Anyone got an idea about approx what would be reasonable in Northeast.NY-NJ area?
Thanks.

Wow. Was the RAV put in a time capsule? nice find.

Go to Toyotapartsdeal.com. I can always find the best deals there. Put in the part number and you will get a good quote. They are on the Pacific side and big Japanese warehouses over there.

I had mine replaced a month back simply because I could not get a perfect alignment done on my 200k miles 1998 RAV4. The corners were jammed. I believe they costed me a little more than 100 dollars.

I had a local shop put them in for me for about 200 dollars. ... at the end I think I spent about 500 dollars.

thanks for info

Thanks guys. Toyotapartsdeal is where I saw them for 125 ea.
Car was in kind of a capsule. garaged in Mass. and always serviced at same dealership it was purchased from 2000 until 2015. Last few years, oil changes were being done annually even tho only 1,000 miles driven.
Was floored by the carfax history after I got the car. However, I let myself get
ripped off by bringing it to Toyota service for fluids change, etc. Should have known better.
