I just want to know what oil viscosity should I use for my Rav4 2014?

Engine: 2AR-FE 2.5 liter
Environment temperature: min -10°C max 40°C
Driving conditions: 90 percent in city and traffic

Thank you.

I don't know in which country you are, but 0w-20 5w-20 or 5w-30 will all work very well. I would use 5w-30 given the high temps.

Local dealer recommend 20w50! But I think 5w40 is better according to the temperature tables and I'm using lexus 5w40 oil. Is it OK?

I use 0w-20 and it gets over 100F here. Higher viscosity will lower efficiency and not give you any extra protection, so I would get the closest to 0w20 that you can find.

What country? 5W30 would be hard to fault but 5W40 synthetic would be hard to beat under severe circumstances.

You can safely use 5W-20 or 5W-30. If you drive mostly in hot weather, I would recommend 5W-30.

Stay away from anything more viscous than 5W-30, like 5W-40 or 20W-50. Th AR engine was designed to run on low-viscosity oil and using oil with SAE 40 or 50 viscosity will result in insufficient lubrication / cooling to some parts of the engine.
