Did you update the Toyota app? There was an update on June 19th.

The app isn’t updating automatically, I have to tap on Status, then tap the reload to make it update the car’s status. And we’ve stopped getting notifications. Information, including last trip and last parked position, are accurate. Something’s fishy. The App Store says the app was updated a week ago. Ours was working perfectly until the last few days so it seems it’s on the server side. Or so I’d guess.

I have 1.0.23 (2) and It hasnt updated recent trip since 6/17, Remote services status 4/27 (will not update even manually), fuel level is wrong, and atleast a few weeks ago is the last parked. I removed app and reinstalled. Guess I will have to reach out to toyota unless someone has a better fix.

So I just spent the past 45 minutes (mostly on hold) on the phone with Toyota CS reporting my non-functional remote app. I'm supposed to get a call back from a telematics specialist. I've been through this before and it was a big waste of time.

Update: Telematics specialist called me. I just repeated the same information that I provided the first time around. I was promised another call in 1-2 business days. Whoopee!

Another update (about 24 hours later): App started working again. I have no clue why.

Did you just call generic toyota cs number or a specific group/division or anything like that? Plan to call next time i wfh since I dont really end up with many calls.

It’s been a month since we had the Techstream update and the app is working great. Even today, after an app update, which sometimes causes glitches. There was a gap of about 4-5 days where we had to manually update the Status portion of the app, but then everything returned to normal. Looking good for our 2020 XSEh.

So I just stopped getting push notifications my car was left unlocked or moon roof open etc. The APP still shows the current status unlocked when I go into it but no more notification. I do get notifications if I start the car, unlock, lock through the APP but no notifications of when I walk away and leave the car unlocked.
I had the firmware update done in July. Apparently there is a new FW update I heard from Toyota Canada support TCI-5389 but not sure if it will fix this.
I am using an android phone, I don't see issues on my sons iphone.

Whoever the contractor / code monkey's are that Toyota hires . . . . . . . the App is no longer willing to allow 'Touch' ID opening. I have to flip back-n-forth between the App Login screens and LastPass . . . . . . App usage has gone to nil.

Another job well done by Toyota. They just keep on knockin 'em outta the park

I haven’t loaded this app nor the Toyota one but I was wondering if anyone has kept it past the free one yr trial?

Seems to be so many issues and malfunctions

Also curious as to how much the annual fee costs

I've just uninstalled the App A G A I N

It is a steaming pile of fail. I feel sorry for whoever the call center workers are and their employer, having to work for Toyota and answer phones with Toyota customers on the other end. Truly a lose lose scenario.

Uninstalling the app never helped me. I see you have a 2019. I thought the app issues were only a problem for the 2020s?

Naw, it's Toyota's new advertising campaign posture . . . . . . "you asked for it, you got it! Toyota . . . . . and we got your money"

While I have never been a code monkey . . . . . I will wager a huge pile of other people's money that the issue(s) have ZERO to do with the vehicle and EVERYTHING to do with the App coding, its composition, bugs, and general failure as a functional piece of mobile software.
