I installed one myself. If you don't connect the wire to the dome light the starter doesn't know you opened the door and may keep the engine running. I did that with the brake switch to keep it from shutting off ASA you touched the brake to shift into gear. The problem that caused was if you didn't turn the key to run the engine would shut off while driving when the remote starter timed out. After that happened to my wife a couple of times :egad: I reconnected the wire.Yes people have. I am scheduled to have one installed in early December at a local shop. Just so you're aware, with Toyota push button start the car shuts off as soon as you open the door. Very unhappy about that.
Lol. Well that’s fine in your temperatures. But not for winter in mine. You realize there are different climates around the world, right? My winters are 40-50 degrees colder than yours and I have a 10 month old baby to put in there in our stone cold mornings.Just use the heated seats and you're good to go.
There are better deals out than that. Run from that one as fast as you can. Never heard of a subscription fee for a remote starter and don't need one. Your not relying on am outside source to make it function like your phone does.Only option available at my dealer was aftermarket, some mycar or something - came to around 1,100 and then a 36 per year fee to use after the 3rd year. I was like what, you want to charge me a subscription to use remote start?
