Does anyone know how to remove the factory seat covers from the rear bench seat (passenger side, if different)? My dog ripped a hole in the back of the fabric, easy to repair if I can get it off. I've unzipped it, but it seems like something is still keeping it from just coming off.

You're not searching for the right thing it doesn't have to be a 5th gen. Look up how to install katzkin seat covers which require removing oem covers.
Yeah, that didn't help, though good suggestion. 90% of the results deal with the Tacoma, the others show doing the change on front seats only. Haven't found anything dealing with the rear seat on anything other than the Tacoma.

It's doesn't matter the model the technique is the same on all Toyotas new or old and it does require special tools for auto ulpostery removal and installation.
It does in a way. I watched the videos for the Tacoma and the front seat of a Corolla. The setup for the rear seat of a Rav4 is different from what I can see. For one thing the Rav4 has a release on the top to fold the seat forward, neither of the other vehicles has that. Also, on those vehicles they totally remove the seats to do the work. On the Tacoma that is just 2 bolts to remove the back of the bench seat, for the Corolla it's four floor bolts. I don't think that is needed for the Rav4, but I'm not sure then how to remove the cover. Also, from what I can see the cover on the Rav4 only has one zipper on the inner side of the seat, whereas the other two vehicles have zippers on both sides. And there are probably other differences that I don't know about.
