Hi,

When replacing the headlight bulp on my RAV4 2011 I first pulled out the headlight leveler engine by mistake. When realizing my mistake I just put it back and managed to proceed with replacing the headlight bulp.

However, now the headlights are not level. When trying to adjust the level using the control panel in the car, the headlight leveler motor runs, but the headlight is not adjusting, so I must have done something wrong putting it back.

Before I start trying to fix it, I am wondering if anyone has any experience in troubleshooting or fixing this? For instance Is there a certain position the leveler engine should be in when installed? Is there a certain level the control panel in the car should be set to etc?

Any inputs are appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Pierre_80.
I'm interested on how you fixed your headlight leveling motor issue.

While changing a bulb the other day, I too accidentally pulled out the leveling actuator.
And now my right headlight (face on) is not level with the left side headlight.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Paul.
