Hello,
I've been slowly upgrading all the incandescent bulbs in the interior and exterior of my Rav4 Prime 2021 to LEDs. I am trying to replace the Front Marker Lights, but having a hard time getting the old bulb out even though it's easy to access. To be clear, it's this bulb I'm talking about:

Inside on the left and right sides is a wire attached to a grey plastic assembly that clips onto a black assembly. I can tell the bulb is inside the black assembly. I can get the grey plastic cover off, but can't get the black assembly out to replace the bulb. I tried turning it but it won't budge. Any advice? Thanks! I tried YouTube but the videos are for a regular Rav4 and it's not the same.

I’d like to know too. I have a 2023 and I can’t seem to figure in out. All the 2022 videos doesn’t apply and the manual say to take all these light replacements to the dealer.

In the 2022 version, all lights are LED except for the rear turn signal lights and backup lights. I expect that this carried over to the 2023. Not sure about the 2021. I know that many of the interior lights in the 2021 are incandescent. These were changed to LED for 2022.

Look in your owners manual. My manual says you turn them counter clockwise to remove them.

It may be helpful to remove the electrical connector first (press the tab on the side hard). To get better leverage, use a paper towel or cloth wrapped around them, then an adjustable pliers to turn them.

Yes I believe all front lights on rav4prime 2023 are LEDs, sadly some of them are single LEDs and not a blinding cluster of them LOL.
But not verified, will check today

There's no tabs. I think we might to remove the whole housing. The owners manual says to bring the car to the dealership to replace all of these lights, including the headlights.

Are you saying the 2023 model year doesn't have LED blinker lights? I thought everything was LED on the 2023 model; I know they upgraded all interior lights to LED and the front headlamps are LED. If that's the case, I'm surprised they would cheap out with the blinker lights.

Yes, it has blinker lights.

The lights referred to here are side marker lights that we want to replace with brighter ones, but we can't.

If the Prime uses the same connector for an incandescent light bulb as in my 2019 gas Limited, I replaced mine with these amber ones. I tried a few extra light ones, but the white washed out the amber color of the reflector. Once I got the amber ones, they were much better.

According to the 2023 manual, the only non-LED bulbs are the rear turn signals and backup lights. All other bulbs are LED and are not user replaceable.

Sounds about right, I did the backup lights already and have the rear turn signals arriving shortly, had to return the front ones as discovered they are already LED

The OP has a '21 which definately has an incandescent bulb on the front side marker.

Thanks for all your help, people! I used pliers to turn the bulb housing to get it out, but went slowly and was successful. My marker lights are now nice and bright See before and after pics. These are the bulbs I used. Happy Rav4ing
