I tried my best to search for this on the web/Rav4world.

I'm hoping to get some advice.

Car: 2002 Toyota RAV4 176k Miles FWD 2.0L

Car runs great, except at stop when coolant fan turns on, rpms drop to about 200.

Any advice?

Thanks for advice in the past!:laugh

Right off the bat it sounds like a voltage problem. Have you checked the alternator and battery?

Also, I was recently having low idle when my air conditioner was running. I fixed the problem by removing and cleaning the throttle body and idle air control valve. The idle air control valve was stuck and this was causing a bad idle.

These are the two problems that come to mind. First check the battery and alt these are common problems.

Bad cooling fan motor? Maybe the motor is bad and using excessive current to run the motor. Putting more load on the alternator and bogging down the engine.
