Hello, and yes, I had my new RAV4 rustproofed by Ziebart, I know many feel it's a waste of money, and in certain parts of the country it probably is, but winters here in the Midwest are horrible, and the salt just beats up the underside of the vehicles. There was a time I thought it was not necessary, but after a couple of years most of my vehicles looked pretty bad and were definitely rusting on the underside.
When I bought my rav4, the dealership put an anti-rust treatment inside the door panels, motor compartment and undercarriage. 500$, 10 year warranty.. it hardens to a rubber coat, road noise is reduced and they reapply-repatch if necessary when the car is serviced (oil change, tire rotation, etc.)
My father's 2012 rav4 has the same treatment and it looks clean.
Here in Quebec, the winter is harsh, road salt everywhere.
