Nothing like using a Haynes manual for an 8 hour repair on an older vehicle to get the heater core changed (2000 Sonoma) to find that it conveniently missed a couple screws that you could only find by feel.

Haynes manuals are nice to have but incomplete by themselves. Haynes + Google is awesome.

I have a Haynes manual (or maybe Chilton's, I think the same company makes both) for my wife's '16. Some stuff will be similar, but not most. Waiting on the 4.5 manual.
Had the same experience with a 1987 Mazda 626. The heater core had screws all the way around on a plate, all easy to get to so the core would just slide right out once the hoses were removed. That all went well until I found out that it must have been designed to slide out for a right-hand drive model since the steering column mount on a left-hand drive car was right in the way. So I ended up putting it all back and traded the car in when I downsized the number of cars I owned; divorce will do that. Good thing I didn't buy the replacement heater core yet; it was an extra car at the time.
