just got a quick question. I dont know if this is only for the I4 or the V6 as well. My I4 rav, everytime i start it when the engine is still cold and the RPM's are still little high, i wait for 30 secs or so, then i shift in reverse the to drive. IT NEVER FAILS!!!! everytime i shift in drive (when engine is a little cold still..) it jerks forward...i know that this may not be good to the tranny....does the V6 do this?? cause my V8 Tundra(even when the engine is a little cold) will not do this...

please reply!!!!

My wife's RAV I4 does the same when it is cold. I also have the Toyota V8, it does jump when it is cold but thats because it has a shift delay.

Give it a minute for the RPMs to go down a little and it won't do it. The colder it is the worse it will do this :D
