Hi everyone,

I've been the proud owner of a 2003 Rav4 Limited for almost a year now. The time has come to buy new tires. THe current Goodyears have about 36K on them and are NOISY. I never liked Goodyear and now I hate them even more. I have no knowledge other than some forum posts on what people like on these little SUV's. Currently, I have my eye on a set of General GRABBER HTS 60 with a 680 tradewear. Price seems right and the few reviews I have read on tirerack, people seem to like them and say they are not loud. Anyone else want to chime in?

Here is what I have my eye on...

There is also another General HTS but I can't tell what the difference in these 2 tires are:

And here's a picture of my girl:

2003Rav4Lover ^^ Nice looking 2003.

I'm never a Goodyear buyer / not worth the premium price IMO.
- just paying extra for the name / branding $$
- and they often develop sidewall cracking, if their on a used vehicle I purchase

On our 2008 Limited:
- we bought Firestone Destination Le2 and seem great, especially for the price & low tread wear
- also, these tires have decent reviews

Our RAV4 came with Michelin winter tread / so we run the L2e in spring-summer-fall months.
- both sets mounted on 17" Toyota alloy rims / so we aren't buying new tires, too often now
- when time comes to replace the winter tires, won't be buying the more expensive Michelin's
In Canada, four Firestone's installed/balanced/+13%tax here, was $717/set...Michelin like $1,200.
