Hello Rav Bros,

I have had the slave cylinder clutch fork squeeeeaak for months now
and have been removing the boot and spraying lithium on the fork as a temp fix (the squeak returns).

But today I sprayed lube on the fork under the boot and created a new problem. Now the clutch pedal feels notchy and rougher. The best way to describe it is: When I press down, it feels 'ribbed'.

I have no idea how this could happen and a long search has turned up empty handed. I visited the shop and they said it was probably air in the cylinder. We bled the line, and yes a little bit of air came out, but the problem still persists.

The real kicker is the ribbed feeling only occurs when the engine is running . When the car is off the clutch is smooth as a whistle.

This problem has been reported in S2000's from worn ball heads (on the plunger), but I feel that this is not the case with my car because of the fact that it is only present while the engine is running.

I would love to get my clutch smooth again. Any ideas on what I should do or what may have went wrong?

I have no idea where to even start.
