Whats up everyone! Hopefully this is in the right section, didn't see a "build thread" section. Anyways I picked up a 2020 RAV4 LE AWD that I'll be using as a daily driver/ road trip warrior. Also have a 2012 Tundra, but it has a drinking problem lol. Here is Sonic the day I picked it up next to my Tundra (Shadow), pretty excited to start making it my own. If yall want to follow a bit more day to day stuff in the garage, check me out on Instagram @power.up.garage

UPDATE!!
Man the factory horns are WEAK lol. Decided to go with some Hella Super Tone Horns because I picked them up for cheap (they came red but painted them yellow). Might do a quick how to write up...we shall see. Definitely louder and sharper

Lol, "has a drinking problem." That describes the Silverado I traded for my RAV4 Hybrid well. I haven't done much mod wise on the RAV yet, I went a little crazy on the truck.

Were your Hella horns plug and play, or did you have to get/make an adapter?
I had to make a ground wire for each horn. I used the original hot wire which just slides on to the hella terminal. I did a quick write up on the wire here

UPDATE!!!
Tweeters are in! Thanks to kevk for the write up on how to use the factory wires on the tweeter plug to put in your crossover. I ended up cutting the speaker out of the 3.5" dash speaker and used it as a mounting plate.

UPDATE!!
So I needed a hitch for my bike rack. was initially going to go with an aftermarket one (OEM is double the price) BUT after seeing how low the aftermarket ones sit, decided that i was going to have to bite the bullet and get an OEM one. Well turns out after searching online for a lower priced one that they are on national back order...great. Well bored at work one day, I decided to call a few of my local dealers...AND GUES WHO HAD ONE AT LOWER THAN AMAZON PRICE AND IN STOCK. Thank you Toyota of Plano and whoever ordered this but never picked it up LOL. Pretty happy with how it came out.

Loving the build, keep it up! Tow hitch is one of my next mods as well
Thanks!! Waiting for a deal on some wheels and tires, steelies aren't my favorite lol. Are you doing the oem one or aftermarket?

UPDATE!!
Not a major one, but will have one of those coming soon. Decided to black out the rear Toyota emblem and removed the RAV,AWD,and LE ones. For the emblem I removed it and used some black bedliner in a rattle can to give it texture. Pretty happy with the results. I know the front one has the sonar sensor in it, how is everyone modifying that one? I remember seeing a post about a vinyl with a promo code or something, but cant find it anymore

Is there a way to get you to change "you're AND idiot" to "you're AN idiot"?
LMAO the irony. Just cause you asked nicely lol
This looks AWESOME. I am scheduled to take delivery of a new build RAV4 in November. Created a thread about how the dealer is not able to order the Hitch Receiver and does not want to install one. Thanks for sharing, now I know 100% that it can be done! Your RAV4 looks great!
Congrats! They probably are afraid to cut the bumper, ive seen some pictures of some pretty bad hack jobs lol. But its not difficult, just gotta take your time. I made my cut out a little different than the template though, the template cut is like an L to accommodate for the trailer harness plug. But since all I am using the hitch for is a bike rack, i made it like a rectangle

body kit?
Nope! Going to be Raptor Lining the black plastic trim, also adding lights to the rear bumper while i have it off
Anybody with that kind of stereo setup in their garage has got to be a serious DIYer.
Yeah I defenitely spend a lot of time in there lol. I actually bought this house because of the big garage
How hard was it to remove the plastic?
Not hard. The plastic on the doors have a nut that you have to remove from the inside part of the door. There is a plastic cap at the bottom you remove to access it. the plastic on the back hatch has 1 bolt in the center, you have to remove the plastic trim to get to it
My garage is my favorite room in the house complete with $5k in cabinets and a gray flake epoxy floor.
nice!!! I want to have a garage with a lift one day. Garage Goals lol
I used to think I wanted a lift. Then I spent weeks working on a transmission and realized that any job big enough to need a lift I'll leave for a professional. If it takes more than a day or two to complete I'm letting someone else do it.

I spend quite a bit of time in my garage, I run a Klipsch quintet setup with a 200 watt sub and a Yamaha 6.1 for sound. Tried to scare my wife into labor when she was overdue on my daughter, we took an hour drive through winding country roads that seemed like the middle of nowhere (wasn't really) to get that setup for a $100 from a Craigslist ad. The labor thing didn't work, but I got a nice garage system.
Yeah but even stuff like tire rotations and stuff would be so much easier with a lift. I enjoy working on cars too

UPDATE!! Alright peeps, I decided to Raptor Line all the black plastic trim to give it a glossy textured look. Also added LED cubes to the rear bumper, though I haven't wired them yet. LOVE the way it turned out, def worth the work.

The black texture looks really nice. Best part is you won’t have to fight the color change of the plastic as it ages.
Thanks! Yeah I don't believe the Raptor Liner will fade as much as just the bare plastic. We shall see
