Whats up everyone! Hopefully this is in the right section, didn't see a "build thread" section. Anyways I picked up a 2020 RAV4 LE AWD that I'll be using as a daily driver/ road trip warrior. Also have a 2012 Tundra, but it has a drinking problem lol. Here is Sonic the day I picked it up next to my Tundra (Shadow), pretty excited to start making it my own. If yall want to follow a bit more day to day stuff in the garage, check me out on Instagram @power.up.garage

Yeah I defenitely spend a lot of time in there lol. I actually bought this house because of the big garage
How hard was it to remove the plastic?

Not hard. The plastic on the doors have a nut that you have to remove from the inside part of the door. There is a plastic cap at the bottom you remove to access it. the plastic on the back hatch has 1 bolt in the center, you have to remove the plastic trim to get to it

My garage is my favorite room in the house complete with $5k in cabinets and a gray flake epoxy floor.

I used to think I wanted a lift. Then I spent weeks working on a transmission and realized that any job big enough to need a lift I'll leave for a professional. If it takes more than a day or two to complete I'm letting someone else do it.

I spend quite a bit of time in my garage, I run a Klipsch quintet setup with a 200 watt sub and a Yamaha 6.1 for sound. Tried to scare my wife into labor when she was overdue on my daughter, we took an hour drive through winding country roads that seemed like the middle of nowhere (wasn't really) to get that setup for a $100 from a Craigslist ad. The labor thing didn't work, but I got a nice garage system.

I’m almost 65. Now I determine the size of job I’m willing to tackle based on how many aches and pains I’m willing to tolerate. Getting old is not for sissies.

Yeah but even stuff like tire rotations and stuff would be so much easier with a lift. I enjoy working on cars too

UPDATE!! Alright peeps, I decided to Raptor Line all the black plastic trim to give it a glossy textured look. Also added LED cubes to the rear bumper, though I haven't wired them yet. LOVE the way it turned out, def worth the work.

The black texture looks really nice. Best part is you won’t have to fight the color change of the plastic as it ages.

Thanks! Yeah I don't believe the Raptor Liner will fade as much as just the bare plastic. We shall see

Personally, not a fan of the colored trim around the new rear lights but the overall install is very clean (y) I'll keep an eye out for it on the roads if you're in DFW.

Thanks! Yeah the originally came black, but the idea i had behind the RAV is to make it really pop (my tundra is all black). Gonna be super easy to find in the parking lot when im done LOL

It's looking good. I like the "pop." Every exterior modification I do I justify to my wife "now you'll have an easier time know which one is mine." The worst was when I had a black Silverado. She'd just get in any random black truck, opened a door one day and the driver was sitting there, he just started laughing cause apparently his wife did that too. I think my daughter (5 years) is better at identifying cars.
