hi please i have a rav 4 2006
when driving at normal speed and when i reduce my speed and try to accelerate again i hear a skidding noise from beneath the driver side just for a second or two i dont really know what to do.
every one in Ghana does not know whats the problem even the Toyota company itself said i should change the gear box then they said the abs mains complete and they said the drive shaft and they said the hub.
but the gears are moving very smooth does not interrupt with the movement at all.
please am begging you to advice.

How many miles? Could the CV joint be worn?

What do you mean by a "skidding" noise? Like the tire is skidding on pavement?

I have a grinding noise for 3 reasons:

1) I have oversized tires rubbing the plastic wheel well cover
2) I have aggressive brake pads
3) I have all terrain tires, noticeably louder than stock

I recommend you look at your brakes. Make sure the pads and rotors aren't worn. Next I would look at the wheel hub and wheel bearings. A mechanic can help you with that.
