Normal mode: 25% throttle = 25% power, 50% throttle = 50% power, 100% throttle = 100% power
ECO mode: 25% throttle =15% power, 50% throttle = 40% power, 100% throttle = 100% power
Sport mode: 25% throttle = 45% power, 50% throttle = 65% power, 100% throttle = 100% power
These are no where near the actual numbers, but this is a good representation of what each mode does to the throttle response and associated power. 219HP is still going to be the max you will get from the system, but each mode just have different ways of getting to that. I think it engages MGU2 more to get that extra boost of acceleration in Sport mode. In ECO mode, it probably tries to rely more on MGU2 as well, but in the sense of taking load off the ICE which is just used with MGU1 to be a generator for the battery pack and MGU2.
The more I think of the scenarios that the hybrids have to deal with and adjustments to work most efficiently , the more I'm amazed at all the calculations the whole system does to balance everything to work in harmony so that when we push a pedal, we go forward.
