My '02 has developed a squeaking noise in the driver's side backdoor (not the hatch) when opening and closing it. I think the squeak is coming from one or more of the hinges. What's the best thing to put on the hinges? I sprayed on some WD-40 but it didn't help...maybe I didn't use enough. :(

Thanks!

I use white lithium grease on the hinges, that's pretty much the standard grease for squeaky car hinges.

WD40 is not good for lubrication, because it's not very viscous and doesn't last very long. It's good for loosening up rusty or stuck parts, but it's not a grease.

Any local auto parts store or Wal-Mart, it's a fairly standard item and usually comes in squeeze tubes (like toothpaste) or in an aeresol can.
