Starts and then dies within 5-10 seconds. Clogged fuel filter? Cannot hear any obvious vacuum leaks. 96 Automatic, 2 wheel drive,

Or perhaps a vacuum issue

Clean your throttle body and MAF sensor - the MAF sensor should throw a code

Clean your battery terminals

Also replace the air filter, if dirty. And crack open the gas cap to see if it's a venting issue, but I'd suspect it would run longer than that.
