Hi friends , i got new rav 2017 with 250 miles , i want to know if its normal to have stiff steering for new rav 4 with EPS. should i wait for some time to get it adjust with time as i use it more?
currently steering is tight when even at speed like 10-20 miles/hr, should i take it to service or wait for some more miles ?

Thanks

If you're accustomed to hydraulic power steering Toyota's EPS likely has a stiffer feel. The EPS seems to have a dead feel for me as I was accustomed to having no power steering at all, and then a CR-V with hydraulic PS with a much lighter feel.

Ya, I don't know that I would call it "stiff", but it's certainly a far cry from the "mush" of a larger "family" car.
The Rav is light, so "soft" steering tends to introduce issues with "float"... a LOT of Tacoma owners have complained about that over the years.

Also, if you have a Rav4 with "Sport" mode, using that mode will further stiffen the steering, which is REALLY nice on tight mountain roads.
