Here You have Svarten, when he was brand new, in may 2016, (name translates to Blackie, named so when I joined Fuelly and they wanted a name). Took some more pictures but sadly lost them in a phone change. The only upgrades to this day are steel door sills.

It's a Active, https://www.toyota.se/nya-bilar/rav4/grade/ha-rav4%20hsd How much did you pay extra for the DEFA system? I declined that due to price, they wanted 10500kr so I just ordered cables and socket for cabin heater installed, figured that the engine heats it self. I got those steel Door Sills from Amazon UK, did not like the original aluminum ones that Toyota had.

I paid 7300kr and the parts retails at Mekonomen for about 3800kr.

I will elaborate with the fuel economy, on my ride to work I always check after about 10km what the current average is, on my previous car a Forester 2.0 Turbo it went from 0.9/L to 0.7/L due to preheating.

Defa is a modular system as you may already know so you can get an Y-splitter if you still want to add the heater later on if it turns out to be great.

I might clone your Door Sills, I usually mod the **** out of my cars. :D

I just installed the Inner door sill guards OEM toyota ones with LEDs.
Matches the outer door sill guards perfectly with the same blue LEDs.
Also the white light on the froont inner door sill guards lighst up the Rav4 letters on the floor mats nicely.
