Similar to other carmakers, Toyota's Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) feature helps keep the vehicle centered on roadway travel lanes when using Cruise Control. For the 2026 RAV4, I wonder if Toyota could add a 'Trim' feature for LTA, to be used under certain driving conditions. For example, when driving on 2-lane roadways (1 lane traveling each direction), it's really not ideal to keep the vehicle traveling exactly on the geometric center of the lane. In most cases, I feel it's safer to drive slightly farther away from the center of the roadway, to better avoid any oncoming traffic.

It would be useful to be able to trim the LTA to direct the vehicle to travel slightly to either side of the geometric center of the travel lane, such as for the purposes mentioned above. Anyone else agree?

TSS 3.0+ does this on curves, tends to hug the mayo on right-handers. sometimes annoying though as it hugs the mustard on left-handers

my point being is moving forward rav4 2026 and beyond, TSS is exponentially improved

I usually don't turn ON the LTA feature on 2-lane roads because LTA can only place the vehicle centered on the lane, which for me is generally too close to the oncoming traffic. So that's why I wish it had a trim feature to allow me to shift the vehicle farther away from the center of the road.
