It is driving me crazy. slight hum/rattle/buzz when on rough roads. Oddly enough it stops when I pull the visor all the way down. Anyone else have trouble with this?
I’ve been hunting for a rattle that seems to be cool temperature dependent and only on rough roads. Next time the rattle starts, I’m going to try your visor trick to see if it’s the culprit.
Good to know. I had the rattle this morning and determined it is definitely not the sun visor. I’ll try around the center display next time the noise crops up.I have that temperature rattle too. Mine was the center of the bottom trim that went around the display screen on the dash. Press around the edges next time you hear it and you will see
That was it! Thanks for flagging. You might want to check out my thread below about a rattle I solved. It might be related

It ended up not being the mirror rattling
So I was tracking down a rattle that would come and go. Temperature and road condition was the cause of it's intermittent nature. I evening commute home, the rattle was pretty consistent and I just happened to put my hand on the inside modeling of the A pillar and I was able to make the noise...www.rav4world.com
Thought I was the only one! My drivers side visor makes noise in high heat and when it’s cool it makes no noise. Can’t believe that has happened to someone else, thought that was just a weird phenomenon.
I have no fix or solution, I found that if you stuff something in there to deploy it an 1/4“ it removes it but that’s hardly a solution, I was thinking about taking it back to the dealer under warranty because it bothers me so much.
This is exactly whats happening to me! I could not find a way to jerry rig it to make it stop. Please let me know what they say! This thing is driving me nuts
YesIf you take the visor out of the hook does the sound go away? Or is it the mirror parts of the visor that rattle?
If I interpret your answer correctly removing the visor from the holder and the sound goes away. Two things that might be obvious.Yes
LOL I've wedged everything in there. It doesnt work. Thinking about taking it off and going visorless lol

1) Is the mount loose? My Sonata did this and while the mount wasnt "loose" per say...each screw had about a turn maybe a turn and a half left to go and then it went away.
2) You said you stuffed everything in there. Did you put anything between the mount and the visor clip?
Chasing sound noises is a chore for sure.
Ok...I looked it over. What a crappy design. I am guessing the removable side mount is just a friction fit piece. Mine wiggled very little (piece on the head liner).
I also notice that the roller bar that fits into the headliner is sloppy. If I moved it back and forth it did "rattle" a little.
Do you have any give (dont yank super hard..just see by rocking it back and forth) if its fairly loose. On mine I could create a little gap on the side closest to the drivers seat.
On the roller piece on the visor itself. Can you wiggle it around to make it generate the noise?

Slidey bitCurious which part of the visor you're talking about, the slidey bit that covers the mirror or the little extension thingey.
