I just bought new headlight housings for my 2009 Rav4. My stock housings have amber plastic covering the halogen turn signal lights. My new housings have a clear cover, so I will need to use an amber colored light. I figured I'd use LED's. When I did a search on Sylvania's website, they recommended a pair ZEVO 7443 LED's for the stock housing. They also make an amber version: ZEVO 7443A which I'm thinking about getting. Does anyone have experience using these? I've read a bunch of posts about needing to add either resistors or relays to make them work. They also mentioned hyper flashing, which doesn't seem all that bad. I'm more concerned about the brightness and pattern of the light after switching but I'm thinking these may work since Sylvania recommended them. Are there brighter alternatives? I've seen some on eBay where they have a bunch of LED's around the perimeter.

You can use those, or you can use a “switch-back”
bulb that is white until you turn the signal on. I would recommend getting the resistors to wire in or see if you can swap out the turn signal relay for an LED one. Hyperflash gets annoying real fast for you and the other drivers around you. I have had better luck with the Amazon/eBay bulbs rather than the name brand LED ones (at least for turn signals). The no-name ones are actually brighter and have a better beam pattern.
