Thanks

I thought it would be chain driven. Daughters 2000 Camry had a timing belt break this summer,was sure glad I enough speed to coast to parking lot.

If you had a belt break, it is a wonder you didn't bend some valves. Sometimes the valves will stop in the open position and when the piston comes but it hits them and then - BENT. Of course I am old school so maybe they give them enough room to clear.

The Gates website will inform you if the engine is interference or non-interference. In one case there is engine damage (valves and possible piston damage) and in the other case only a new belt is needed,
