Boy, what a load of horse manure that is. Clearly, they didn't ask us about the last 2 Subaru's my family member had. I had to "right" or warranty structural items every year on their cars due to lack of factory/dealer support. Ugh, their treatment of my elderly family member was horrid to say the least. Their last MY18 Crosstrek had well over 400 TSB's(technical service bulletins) alone.
I had a feeling I would see you on this forum at some point lol (I am on SubaruXVForum.) Welcome aboard!

With all due respect, you must have had a "friday car" or something. My family currently has 5 Subarus between us, ranging from MY2008-MY2024, and they have been rock solid, every one of them. I myself have had 3 Subarus, with a cumulative 50K miles or so and the only failure I have had was that I had to get strut mounts replaced under warranty on my Impreza.

I will say, however that even I have a hard time believing Subaru are really #1.

The last Subaur I owned was known to have the head gasket problem.
Not to play down your experience, as that is unfortunate, but if you're talking a Subaru with a head gasket problem, you are talking about a long time ago. The last non-STI Subaru to use the old EJ engine known for this was phased out in like 2011-12. Modern Subarus are not perfect, no car is, but they are much more reliable than they used to be.
