I bought Toyota Rav4 just a month back and its multimedia screen is constantly rebooting after every 5-10 second.
Went to service center but they told this is new software and they haven't received any update.
I tried rebooting by pressing vol button but no help.

Any help how to hard reset or update software. their portal is asking for json file but I cannot retrieve.

You must have a different year than 2003. Do you have a 2013? Or a new 2023? Need accurate year for better help.

Given the warranty your vehicle has, you should absolutely take it in.

OP, since you already did and they were no help, as long as they logged the complaint by making a Repair Order, i’d go ahead and just do a good old fashioned reboot —disconnect the 12v battery for a few minutes.

These computers get glitchy just like a pc or phone that hasn’t been shut off in a long time. And almost nothing on a car truly shuts off unless the battery is disconnected.

Warning: this may reset other modules as well, such as transmission & engine adaptive strategy.

i’d go ahead and just do a good old fashioned reboot
Have you tried the "Reverse Reboot". It has worked successfully for many people with exactly your issue on 5th generation RAVs. It may also work on your 2023.

i have the same issue since i bought last month. please help with rebooting infotainment screen.
Hi, I deleted my profile from infotainment screen and then recreated it and the issue is fixed. only issue I faced is my subscription for drive connect got cancelled.
But still i am happy that the issue is resolved :).

thanks you all for your help i found this community have more knowledge then Toyota dealer .
