Had the TPMS light come on despite all tires being fine. Through research - probably a failing sensor. It is a 2016, so makes sense in terms of battery life and the whole "they last 5-10 years" average I've seen. Great. Bought an OBD2 reader and downloaded Carista - do a diagnostic on the TPMS, pops up with a code- "C2144 - Transmitter ID 4 Error". I follow links and get basic info that basically it's a failure of either the receiver or the tpms sensor. I see reporting/info for each of the 4 sensors including the psi etc which makes me think something is getting that info somewhere sent but it's not being received... would seeing that info indicate all four are in fact working correctly and it's possibly a failure of the reciever? Additionally, after trying to get verification on whether or not the 2016 XLE had a spare/5th sensor I couldn't find a definitive answer. So next question is would seeing 4 indicate I'm missing a 5th/spare sensor and if so from what I've read - that would also throw codes/dash lights? I am the second owner of the vehicle and the spare appears to be factory but not entirely sure. Definitely a donut and not full sized. I also when first assessing this issue checked pressure in the spare and it was basically nil... so I filled it hoping that might correct the issue after a reset but no luck. The last possible variable I can think of is that I generally keep the psi around 40 which is above the suggested 32 - doubt this would have any affect, just throwing that out there. Last thing I'll add is that I'm assuming the sensor named "ID 4" specifically shows tpms info in the Carista app as 4th/last on the list... if the receiver is the issue, any ideas on cost of repair, etc?

Came from a Mazda with the rotation based tpms so this setup is greek to me and already kind of annoying.
Thanks in advance!
