I know nothing about towing trailers. I'm thinking of driving 200 miles on a straight, level freeway while towing an 8x10 flatbed trailer with a hot tub on it, about 1,300lb total weight. That's within the RAV's rated towing capacity, but I wonder if it would be safe. I don't want to kill anyone by losing control of the trailer. Anyone have experience pulling a trailer behind a 1996 2.0 RAV?

ABOUT doesn't cut it. You need to weigh the loaded trailer and make sure it has surge brakes to be safe.

That's all I need to know to say NO!
Rent a truck and do it safely for approx $300.
